Mike's Band's Website
A foreword by Michael DiSanto:
On May 1st, 2008, I commissioned my dear friend and fellow band member in The Significant Figures to pull from his vault of memories a fair and impartial account of my life to date.Ê A peer review of his work found it to be of "dubious merit" with "intentions suspect", but "largely" true.

A story by Carson Werner:

Michael DiSanto, through the actualization of the latest in technological jargon, creates globally applicable internet-product designed to last beyond any numerical iteration of the "web."Ê Any closer to the bleeding edge and he'd be dead.Ê But how did he get here?

After spending numerous years mastering the odd-job market and convincing all of his employers that they needed a website: Mike's pockets grew (relatively) fat, but his heart remained empty.Ê He had become thin and gaunt with deep wrinkles in the back of his neck.Ê The vibrant copper of his eyes had oxidized to a mossy green -- beautiful like the weatherworn surface of Lady Liberty, but indicative of a burden unfit for a young man.

It was Spring, if you could call it that, in Boston; the late March sun finally melting the remaining drift.Ê His shoulders slumped lower, the wrinkles ran deeper, and the dark under his eyes benefitted his disposition only so much as to make him look pathetic enough to elicit sympathy.

But this season of his life, like the fleeting winter, was not meant to last.Ê Michael severed his ties with the hospitality industry, much to the disbelief of colleagues and industry insiders who had been closely tracking his rise to the top.Ê He quietly packed his suitcase and headed south to New York City, his haggard appearance molted by the steel, concrete, and glass of a city waiting with open arms.Ê Reinvigorated and appearing as youthful as a childhood photograph, Michael began his push for the summit.Ê Of life.
