His art interest culminated in a BFA from Cooper Union in 1989. 10 years of painting and working interim posts gave way to a deep interest in the early web. He worked as a junior webmaster for pioneering Silicon Alley firm methodfive, and later migrated to its design department, where he built websites and devised novel interface solutions. When methodfive was purchased in 1999, he was retained and elevated to the deliciously pretentious title of "Design Technologist" (which, to be honest, he still likes quite a bit).
In 2003, Paul moved to Taos, New Mexico after accepting a job in the nascent market for online gaming. At Game Trust, Paul developed a graphical skinning system for the company's flagship product, GameFrame, and developed marketing and branding for this and other Game Trust products and clients.
Paul left the company in 2005 to pursue web design and development on his own. Recent accomplishments include a series of travel industry news sites and a lightweight custom publishing system for ProMedia.travel. For MetaFoundry, Paul applies his diverse experience in design and web technology to produce rich functional Flash applications and promotions for their many creative projects. Privately, Paul has built a self-sustaining passive-solar earth home on the Taos mesa.
